The only way it was going to happen if it the Dems picked up all of remotely competitive seats and even some that seemed unlikely (KS, TX, etc) in a complete repudiation of Trump and it was a clear message that the country was tired of his stuff and he needed to be prosecuted. That said, it would also be super petty and not something I could see him doing.
