Preseason Opener
Through a glitch of some sort in my lineup (beats me) we end up seeing our cuts implemented properly, but our active/inactive roster got completely reshuffled contrary to my wishes. We come out of our opener with one major injury – CB Billy Joe Scanlon has suffered a dislocated elbow, and is slated to miss 8 weeks. This will be tough – keeping him active ought to help his development, but putting him onto IR saves one player we’d otherwise have to cut. I expect we will keep him active (or at least on the roster), and get him back when he’s healthy.
We do, however, have a case of the flu going around – and what better time for that could there possibly be? DT Damon Flowers is the only guy who will probably find this as a ticket for the injured reserve list, however. He’s an affinity guy who probably wasn’t going to make the team anyway – now he gets to spend the season with us after all – not too bad.
