Not the same guy, but they had a similar body type. Adonis had a NYC biker character most of his career, the most success he had with that was in an AWA tag team with Jesse Ventura called the "East/West Connection".
But then he went to the WWF in around 1986 and soon became "Adorable" Adrian Adonis, a big flamboyant fat guy who dressed like a woman and tried to make his opponents uncomfortable. It may sound awful on paper but it was pretty edgy stuff for 1986 WWF - and like Buddy Rose, once you got past the terrible physique he was a very talented wrestler. He was definitly a top 5 heel for them at his peek, and his big feud involved Roddy Piper's original WWF face turn - they had a hair v. hair match at Wrestlemania III. That was pretty much the end of Adonis, and he died a couple of years later in a car accident.
