NARC to hold college draft starting next year

LOS ANGELES - The North American Rugby Conference announced on Tuesday that starting in 1997 it will hold a draft for university and college rugby union players to enter the league. The draft was unanimously approved by NARC owners in a vote.

"The owners feel that a college draft is a fair way of obtaining young rugby players," said NARC commissioner Delmar Scrivens.
