WEEK 10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Rob Nielsen did not score a try in Chicago's victory over Boston, but his impact was felt nevertheless. He had several key runs, helping set up his teammates for scores, while also playing some amazing defense. That was enough for him to get Week 10 Player of the Week honors. Nielsen is now tied atop the MVP standings with two New Jersey players: Larry McGillicuddy and Noah Kidston. All have six points overall with two weeks remaining in the season.

Capital City's blind flanker Lincoln Osburne has been making noise with his defensive play as of late. McGillicuddy was the only player to score more than one try this week.

1st place (3 pts in the MVP standings) – Chicago #11 Rob Nielsen
2nd place (2 pts) – Capital City #6 Lincoln Osburne
3rd place (1 pt) – New Jersey #11 Larry McGillicuddy

All of a sudden, the playoff race in the Eastern Division has become very interesting. Virginia, Boston, Chicago and Capital City could be in any order from #2-#5 at the end of the year. Despite that, Virginia will book a playoff spot in Week 11 if they beat Texas, and both Chicago and Capital City lose. Meanwhile, San Diego and Los Angeles are virtually in the playoffs, if not officially, as Texas has a lot of work to do if they want in. Basically, if Texas does not have two max-point victories in their last two games, they will be out.
