Free Agency Organization

Does anyone have a good system for organizing free agency targets that doesn't involve writing everything down on paper on the side? I often wait out certain non-priority players until after their desired signing deadline has passed to get a discount on some free-agent contracts and make them more manageable. You lose out on some players this way but it's a great way to get some discount free-agent contracts. On top of this sometimes I try and lowball lower-priority players and can lose track of who I want to try offering again after they say no without writing it all down. As a consequence, I end up with these paper-written lists of players and I have to go from player to player rechecking and potentially reoffering each day which is a pain. I wish these players could be added manually to the free agency tab that shows people associated with your team but that only shows people who are considering a current offer. Any ideas, tips, or tricks on speeding this up would be appreciated.

No, I don’t think there is another option.

But I like your idea about effectively a free agent shortlist - I’d suggest that on an email to support

I have a larger monitor, plus FOF doesn't exactly need to be full screen anyway. With that in mind I open a text document and type in any FA's I am looking at, ie create my own shortlist. Sure there's no links in game but much better than getting out a notebook.

I don't limit this to free agency either. I always have this document open to keep notes on any plans or ideas. Beats the hell out of handwriting everything and keeping track of paper copies.

I have been holding everything in my own memory, but I basically start over everytime I open the game. So...good thinking. I'm going to have to implement note taking.

I have a small monitor so that is a bit more of a stretch for me but even still will probably be swapping over to this. Just wish we had something a bit more like the create shortlist functionality in the football manager games as it's so helpful to have multiple in-game shortlists that you can pull all the players up at once from. It's not so much the remembering players that is a problem it's more having to find each one individually one at a time instead of them being grouped that becomes time consuming.

It would be nice if there were just an additional column that you could check for those you want to follow with an option to just display those you have. You could then research and check those of interest and have it display your short list as needed. This would be cool for the draft as well.

Yeah, the whole idea for this comment came from the football manager games where you can right-click on any player and add them to any of your shortlists. You can create the shortlists beforehand so you have multiple different ones for keeping track of different things

Have you considered using a spreadsheet or a digital note-taking app to keep track of your free agency targets? You could create separate tabs or sections for different categories of players, making it easier to keep track of who you want to revisit with offers. This way, you can easily update and organize your targets without the hassle of constantly rechecking and potentially reoffering to players.
