I like this to holding the schools more accountable. You can't hold a school liable for what happens after hours or on weekends, but I suspect there is more schools can do to monitor what is happening on property, trips etc. At the very least, an awareness campaign.

You have to report. No question. The only reason it is even a slightly hard decision is because the whole process will further traumatize your kid. It is the only way to stop the cycle of abuse, though.

I think I’d have a problem with a teacher simply showing up at our house period beyond what I could surmise might happen beyond their car just showing up.
