FOOL-X 1968 Season

I have to run this quick today. Have to leave in about 45 minutes to head to the airport, so not many frills.

The regular season ends in a tie between Spring and New York for the Republic League Regular season title. A 1 game playoff to decide home field was played at New York (due to them having the better record head to head with Spring during the season).

Spring wins 6-5 and is the 1968 Republic League Regular Season champs!

New York still takes a playoff spot however.

In the CL, the London Bishops are the regular season champs

Indianapolis takes the final playoff spot

Is Spring the first 100 game winner in FOOL-X? Also, looks like we played 2 extra there.

Everyone played 1 extra game because the schedule did something dumb. You played 2 extra because of the 1 game playoff with New York for the regular season RL title and homefield advantage in the RLCS.

Wow, gotta love it when you leave your rotation size at the Spring Training 6, and only set 4 guys to start. We could have won 110 the way Morales pitched this year. 22-2 in 28 starts.

That is very true, but to truely judge the season you have to convert it from RL wins to CL wins...Because of the obvious superiority of the CL, I beleive the current RL to CL exchange rate is 0.623....which would mean your 100 RL wins translates into only 62.3 wins. Stats don't lie!

A quick check of the history tells me no, no we are not. Apologies to the other 4 teams that did it before me.
