Fun stuff!

Tampa makes two trades before the deadline including a certain questionable safety.

Oakland, what are you doing.

Trading a 3rd year top 10 draft pick for a 4th round pick is just another in a long series of Tampa Bay sports fails...eventually I'm guessing we'll get our s**t together.

Top 10 pick at Safety doesn't fit the scheme, Revis doesn't fit the scheme... Maybe you should adjust the scheme to fit your best defenders?

Well my beloved Cardinals just got their Xmas present early:

Tony Romo of Dallas Cowboys out Sunday - ESPN Dallas

What a big break for them. Weeden will likely throw for 400 yards now just watch...

Bengals should rout the Jags, but it will probably be a 23-20 game.

With the way Romo played last week, the Cards may have wanted him on the field. Not sure what he was doing against Washington, but there were plenty of plays to be made, he just wouldn't pull the trigger.

I'm really worried about the match up with John Brown. I think he could be in for a big game as I really don't see any of the Cowboys dbs being to stay up with his speed and quickness. I got pretty used to him killing my Missouri Southern Lions the last few seasons, can't see why he would stop now.

Unreal. The breaks the Cardinals have been catching all year are just wild.

Likewise with the Coiwboys receivers vs Cards secondary. If Weeden has any kind of chemistry with Bryant, it could be a very long day for them. They have also shown a weakness to cover tight ends this season, so I would expect they will throw to Witten a lot too.

Hey Chip... run the f'n ball... Did we just go through some bizarre time travel and go back to Andy's game plan these past couple weeks?

Also, open letter to Chip... you are allowed to challenge the spot of the ball. You sh*t the bed last week by not challenging what should have been a 1st and goal from the 3 inch line and now this week you let the Texans get a first down on a spot that was almost 2 yards off where the player was actually down...

In the least surprising news in like forever

Quote:

The Texans are growing frustrated with rookie linebacker Jadeveon Clowney, a source told NFL.com National Insider Ian Rapoport.

Clowney will be sidelined again Sunday against the Eagles due to an illness after missing six games due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 1 that required surgery. The frustration, though, seems to be stemming from the Texans wanting Clowney to "grow up" and "be more mature," according to Rapoport.

Clowney never battled through a serious injury before the knee injury that sidelined him for six weeks. Clowney made his return to the lineup Week 8, but he was limited and only made one tackle in a 30-16 win at Tennessee.

There has to be a better backup QB available than Brandon Weeden.

I've really thought Tannehill has looked good when they've let him make plays with his legs. I hate how we are constantly reminded that he was a WR in college though.

He hasn't done too bad so far. One pick but it was off the receiver's hands and should have been caught.

Weeden isn't reading the defense, he's just picking someone to throw to before the ball is snapped. Horrific throw to Witten when the Beas was wide open over the middle.

Weeden just sucks.

I really want to give the Dolphins full credit for this defense performance but man the Chargers offense is horrible today.

I don't think he's a bad fit in that offense. I always thought he had solid accuracy on short throws. You can do much worse at backup QB... Just look at Dallas and NYJ.

Current QB's playing
Sanchez
Brandon Weeden
Carson Palmer
Matt Simms
Alex Smith
Ryan Tannehill
Blake Bortles
Andy Dalton
Mike Glennon
Brian Hoyer
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Bad Phillip Rivers
Teddy Bridgewater
RGIII

Some young guys with potential to be good, but what a motley crew.

Cardinals just manned up right there, stopped the Cowboys on D, and then marched down and smashed another score.

Every Sunday the Cardinals seem to coincidentally be on the same field as a team that completely shits the bed.

If they were in the AFC West TroyF would have a 2000 word post up about how they're not as good as their record But hey, just keep banking those wins and keep Seattle away from home field advantage.

Well you'd have to expect that almost with Romo out. But yeah they seem other than at Denver to get more than their share of breaks and poor play from their opponent. Hope that trend continues when that team from San Fran plays them next.

Seriously, though. The Cardinals have 20% more first downs awarded via penalty than the rest of the league, which means every one of their opponents for whatever reasons just completely falls apart. Pair that with the second worst pass rush in the NFL, and the 6th worst pass defense.

Every week I watch these guys, and they don't even look average. They just flat out look bad. I don't know how they keep winning games.

I'm not. They had a good season last year in a division with the 49ers and the Cowboys. I'd be totally shocked if my Jaguars led the AFC or the Rams did. But not the Cards.
