I dunno what to think coming into this game.. best dt is out.. Brohm is out.. just find myself wishing that we had all our players coming into this game.

Realistically Vt should win, but they should have realistically destroyed Fsu too

Vick just intentionally stomped a Louisville defenders leg. Classless.

Gee, that's a shock

VT is pretty much the only football team in the ACC I actively root against, and that's said with no love lost at all for the two Florida programs.

I don't hope for that, but honestly, I would not at all be surprised by it. His public image is, at this point, only slightly better than OJ Simpson's.

BTW the defender was Dumervil, so too Vick's credit at least he knows to aim for the knee of the other teams top player.

Vick should have been ejected for that. I just saw the replay and that was horrendous.

That was horrible. I really hate Marcus Vick, even though I like Mike Vick. What a bad thing to do. Didn't take the player out of the game or anything, but it looks so bad when it's caught on camera like that.

Louisville starting to get out of their game focusing too much on getting Vick, they'll get a flag soon.

Vick did manage to get into their heads with the stomp.

If anything about that game made me mad was the fact the Seminole nation has to deal with Bowden and his son. Honestly I would have much rather have lost to Virgina Tech in order to get some must needed change at Florida State. Yes the Seminoles will fire(he will take another job) Coach Dickey and maybe Coach Sexton retires. These moves won't solve a damn thing when Papa Bowden still meddles in the playing calling and Jr Bowden is just there for a pay check.

*Sorry For The Rant*

Louisville is really hanging tough with Virginia Tech. It's 28-24 VTech right now, but if Brohm was healthy, Louisville would easily have this game in hand.

Nah, some big errors on the Louisville pass defense. On the big pass play prior to the score that made it 24-21, the defender (Gay) slowed up having thought that Vick would get sacked, Vick escaped the sack and hit the man for a 54 yard game, and the momentum really shifted there. The fumble on the last possession killed it.

Edit - Now a Pick 6 for Virginia Tech. It'll be interesting to see how quick the commentators forget the dirty play of Tech and Vick, and talk about his great 2nd half.

I really really love my Hokies - VPI grad 1992 and 1994 - but Marcus Vick absolutley positively needs to be either suspended or dimissed from the team. Not only was his stomp of the Louisvilel player classless and indefensible, he was a total jackass after the game, claiming it was an accident and that the other player accepted his apology - both lies.

If anyone in the VT administration has any sack, they'll sit this little thug down for the first 4 games next year.

If Beamer had any inkling what happened at half time Vick should have sat the rest of this game as well.

Edit - BTW there is no way it was accidentental the TV camera clearly caught him looking down and intentionally stomping the back of the knee, if Beamer's willing to "believe" that it goes to show that the first half performance stems from his leadership or lack thereof.

It was a great comeback, but the first half, at least to me overshadows everything.

Vick is an ass. I honestly can't imagine him not ending up in jail.

The Hokies had 5 personal fouls and one ejection.

They also had an ugly incident that should have been the 6th personal foul and the 2nd ejection (in fact Hokie fans on their Rivals board were pushing for Vick to be benched over it saying they'd rather lose with the backup, then win with their classless QB).

Essentially after a run, Vick got up, looked down and saw Ellis Dumervil (Louisville's leading defensive player) on the ground, and stomped in the back of his leg trying to take him out of the play. CBS was all over it (ironically it happened as they were interviewing his brother) it truly was ugly, classless and shameful.

As I mentioned above IMO, if Beamer had any idea what happened then Vick should have been suspended. You don't coach teaching your players to intentionally try to injure. Vick's act was kind of the final straw on a very chippy and penalty marred first half for Virginia Tech.

Okay.. according to the espn writeup, Beamer did know after the game if not during:

Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer said he sent Vick to Louisville's locker room after the game to apologize, but Dumervil never emerged.

"Whatever happened is unfortunate," Beamer said. "I'm not happy about some of the things that happened in the first half. We'll leave it at that."

At least one Virginia Tech coach saw it:
-----------------
Inexplicably, the Big 12 officiating crew missed it. No flag. But Rogers saw it.
"I sure as hell did," he said. "There's no place for that in the game. It's embarrassing, and I think it misrepresents who he really is."
------------------

Inexcusable, the Virginia Tech staff knew what happened and let him continue to play. Hey but it's all about winning.

Heck earlier in the article the same coach said it was ejection worthy. So why the hell don't you do your job to develop and teach these young men (and the thousands of young high school players watching) and do the right thing.

Unfortunately the Virginia Tech football team did not do a good job representing the school today. Their 1st half overshadowed what turned out to be a pretty good game, and the fact the coaches knew about it and failed to act is just disgusting.
