WOW. The complete 80 episodes of 1st and 10 available at Wal~Mart for only $19.96
Damn I was shopping at Wal~Mart and noticed a huge pile of these boxsets and decided to pass on them for now, thinking they would cost over $50.00. I just checked the Wal~Mart site and found they are selling this boxset of 80 episodes for only $19.99
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...bout+the+Movie I am either gonna have to buy this for myself or put it on my Christmas list. Yes, another TV series out on DVD I can watch while some stupid reality show is on. Last edited by WrongWay : 12-09-2005 at 12:01 AM. |

I think it is a hell of a buy. When is the last time you have seen 6 seasons for $19.99? Where they get the list price of $180.00 I have no idea.

Was Delta Burke a tank yet? In her early days, hubba hubba, in her later days, tubba tubba if I may be so bold to grandstand in a Hell Atlantic type manner.

FYI - read somewhere the DVD seasons 1-3 are edited for nudity and language.

The brief series synopsis makes it sound like the last season of Coach where Mona buys the team and everyone moves to florida. Yeah, i just admitted to watching Coach.

Man, I would kill for HBO or someone to make a series about a big D1 football program, each season involving the games and recruiting trail. And make it series and explore the dark side(kinda like the program, yea its one of my all time favorite football movies)

I forgot all the NFL stars that had roles in this series. I just finished season one and am now starting on season 2 with the retirement of OJ Simpson and Marcus Allen holding out for more money. I love big "Tiny" Lister aka Zeus running around breaking everything, and who could forget the Character Mad Dog played by Donald Gibb aka.. The Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds I completely forgot how bad this made the NFL look. Every eppisode is full of Hookers, Cocaine, Steroids, mobsters, and every other vice big money can bring. Also, I can not believe all the story lines from the first season of 1st and 10 that the TV series Coach completely ripped off. |

I bought it, but ended up giving it to my brother in law. The laugh tracks are horrible.
But, he might like it, to each his own.

I didn't really get to watch the show when I was a kid. The thing had LAUGH TRACKS? Oh, good grief.

I loved Bubba and Jeffro's antics, but I really can't believe there were 80 episodes of this show.

I vaguely remember it. Like a lot of things I grew up with, the concept as I remember it is probably so much better than the reality of living it again that I don't want to ruin memories of sneaking the show on late at night to catch a glimpse of BOOBIES! by buying this set and being thoroughly unimpressed, which would lead to further questioning of the things from my adolescence that I still hold dear for no good reason other than my memories of them from that particular time in my life.

And now that I've read my own post...that was way too serious for a thread about a T&A comedy from the 80s. Oh well.

I love the WOW in the title. I enjoyed the show when I was growing up, but I doubt that would be the case now.
