I'm a cat person, but per marital agreement, I'll be a dog (Siberian Huskie) person soon.

I thought with this place sort of being a guy's sports talk forum that dogs would win by a long shot. Okay, I admit, I own a cat but not a dog. They're just so damn easy to take care of. Dogs want to go on walks, piss in the bushes, lick everything, a cat just sits in the corner and licks its balls and lets you pet it when you want to. Much easier to take care of. I still like dogs the best though, just not at this point in my life when I don't have a lot of time to take care of them.

Yes, but we need some more snow than we've gotten in recent years ... unless they pull me on a skateboard.

Cats are independant, clean, quiet and cool. Dogs stink, drool, and chew everything up. No contest...

Most people who don't like cats have never owned one. Once you own a kitten and see ho fun they can be you become a cat person.

I'd guess the Huskie would be an upgrade over the two mice that comes standard in the Hyundai...

Horns, you're just jealous because cats are traditionally cocky and funny animals.

I voted for cats, by the way. I like some breeds of dogs, but if I'm picking one or the other I'll vote cat.

Dogs are by far the better pet. They're loyal and protective. The sound of a barking dog can be the difference between a broken into house and a safe home. I've never heard of a crook going up to a house, seeing a cat in the window and getting scared away, unless there's a really bad allergy issue.

Plus there's not that nasty smell in your house that you get from cats and their litter boxes.

If the owner changes the kitty litter when needed, there's really no cat smell. On the other hand, puppies piss all over the place and you can never get rid of that smell...
