What's the difference between chow fun and lo mein? Are the noodles wider than lo mein noodles? (I know the difference between chow mein and lo mein.)

Chow fun is a wide rice noodle. Its western equivalent is fettucini. Lo Mein is a wheat noodle and it tends to be a little thicker than angel hair. You usually stir it in soup broth, Lo means to stir.

Technically, chow mein is not a type of noodle. It just means stir fried noodle and can come in different sizes.

[edit]Clarification. In Hong Kong, lo mein is usually eaten as a soup noodle. In mainland China, it can be seen stir fried and resembles Japanese Yakisoba. Thickness of the noodle varies.

Much thanks. I tried to image google chow fun, but the pictures were too varied. I kind of thought the chow fun was a wider noodle, but some pictures of lo mein came up as well.
