The Freshman Class of 2005Reish, Donnie 1 QB Fr 13 67 QB Donnie Reish - Our future, to put it simply. They guy I've been waiting for. Can't wait for 2 years from now. RB Jake Hubbard - A good RB who has skills in being a receiving back. RB Donovan Woodard - Actually a good back. He'll be a great backup for Hubbard. TE Courtney Wilkins - He'll be decent if we need a TE. WR Steve Panos - A future decent receiver. Also has good potential for kick returning. C Deon Stuart - I hope he never has to start... G Junior Lofton - Will be a decent guard for us. G Jamie Adams - Will be a great addition to our line. Might think of switching him to T since we alreayd have 2 great guards. T Austin Bailey - Will help with the T situation. DE Donny Cota - Tackling dummy DT Maurice Mast - Will own the middle in a few years. ILB C.J. Starks - Tackling dummy OLB Jerald Fisk - Will be a good OLB. OLB Adrian Cummings - Will probably not make much of an impact. CB Jerald Price - Not very good S Jesse Mabry - Will be a great safety. S J.J. Bovee - Will also be very good. Has good M2M skills, so he could cover as a CB. Last edited by sabotai : 04-29-2003 at 02:11 PM. |

Recruiting Overview of Needs
QB - Now that we have a great one, we can forgo this position for a year or two. RB - Same as above. FB & TE - No need for them. WR - Will go after 1 or 2. Need to keep the WR position deep. C - Cochrane will hopefully be our guy for awhile. G - No need. Got good ones. T - Need a few of these guys. I'm hurting for some good ones. P - Mozart has 2 seasons left, need to look for his replacement. K - No need here. DE - Bates owns, but he has average support. Will go after one if I see one. DT - Mast has great potentials, but I'm not redshirting him, so I need to go after a few more of these guys. ILB - Horn is not developing and is an academic liability. Will look for some good ones. OLB - Frderick is great, but he has average support. Will look for one. CB - Only have 4 of these and a safety will be starting at CB. High priority. S - Got a lot of depth here. Not a concern. Top Priorities: OT, CB, P Moderate Priorities: WR, DE, DT, ILB, OLB, C Not a Priority: QB, RB, FB, TE, OG, S, K |

Week 2
Navy Midshipmen (0-0) at Stockton Ospreys (0-0) Stockton is favored by 2 Attendance: 45,200 (66,600) Weather: 72 degrees, fair Last Meeting: Week 2, 2004 Result: Stockton won 31-6 Head-to-Head Record: Tied 1-1 Injury Report None First Half They won first, we won second. Time for the rubber match. On our first drive of the season, we go 3 and out. Navy puts together a few good plays, but stall at our 41 and punt it away. McCormick throws an interception on the 3rd play and Navy takes over. They got it at our 18 yardline and a few plays later, they score on a 13 yard run. 7-0 Navy On the first play of the next drive, McCormick throws another pick...I can see his role as starting QB is not going to last long. Once again, Navy turns this pick into 7 points. 14-0 Navy We go 3 and out again, Navy gets the ball with good field position and get down to our 25. A FG gives them the 17-0 lead going into the 2nd quarter. McCormick finally settles down. We drive down the field with a mixture of runs and passes. McCormick throws 4 for 4 with his 4th being a 23 yard TD pass to Davidson. 17-7 Navy On a third and long play, Navy's QB underthrows his target. But the story is in that our big time recruit, DT Maurice Mast, is down on the play. It looks like a serious injury. We get the ball on the Navy 28 after a good punt return by Gwozdz. A TD pass from McCormick to Covington for 18 yards cuts the Navy lead to just 3. 17-14 Navy. We start driving down the field trying to take the lead before half-time when McCormick throws another pick. Navy can't do anythign with it though. We get the ball back. With 17 seconds left, we pass it, but we get a defensive pass interference call which puts us on the 26 yardline. Thinking we'd just get a few yards to help our kicker by going up the middle and calling a timeout, Ford ends up breaking it the entire way and we take the lead. Half-Time: Stockton leads 21-17 Navy starts it off. They get to midfield before Pravato intercepts the pass. Pravato returns it for 49 yards and is stopped at the Navy 18. Two plays later, McCormick to Davidson for 9 yards and the TD. 28-17 Stockton Being helped by a couple of penelties, Navy drives the length of the field. An 11 yard TD pass cuts our lead to 4. 28-24 Stockton. Another interception by McCormick. Navy ends up missing the FG, though, so the score stays the same. Our next drive stalls at midfield as time runs out in the quarter. We start off the 4th quarter by punting. We both have short drives and end in punts. On Navy's next drive, they end up fumbling on an option play and Stevenson recovers it. Several plays later, McCormick to Rives for 7 yards and the TD. 35-24 Stockton. That would pretty much finish it. Navy never even gets close to scoring again. A Navy interception is converted to 3 more points for us. Final Score: Stockton wins 38-24 After the game, I would find out that the injury to Mast would end his season. In his first ever college game, Mast's career might be over as he suffered a Torn Knee Ligament. He is listed as OUT for 23 weeks. As for the game, it never would have been close at all if McCormick hadn't thrown those interceptions. He may have thrown 4 TDs, but he also threw 4 INTs. He's gone. Time for Colvin to come in. |

Week 3
Stockton Ospreys (1-0) at Central Florida Golden Knights (0-1) Stockton favored by 5 points Attendance: 41,600 (70,200) Weather: 66 degrees, stormy Last Meeting: Week 3, 2004 Result: Stockton won 41-13 Head-to-Head Record: Tied 1-1 Injury Report DT Maurice Mast is OUT with a Torn Knee Ligament (23 Weeks). DE Walker will come in and play as DT. First Half Both teams start off with a 3 and out. We put a few plays together on the next drive, but end up punting from midfield. We once again exchange 3 and outs (or close to them) and on Central Florida's next drive, they put it together and drive down the field. A 38 yard FG gives them the 3-0 lead. We continue to struggle on offense. Central Florida bangs in another FG to take the 6-0 lead. We get a break when Finley picks off a pass and we get the ball at midfield. A 39 yard TD pass from Colvin to Davidson quickly gives us the lead 7-6. Half-Time: Stockton leads 7-6 Central Florida goes 3 and out on their first drive. With the help of a roughing the passer call, we get in FG position, but the kick goes wide. On the next play, Finley gets his second pick of the game. 3 plays later, a pass from Colvin to Rives gives us the 14-6 lead. We continue to exchange punts until we finally get back into FG position. Again, the long kick goes wide. As the 3rd quarter came to an end, the game was still close. The dance of punts continues until Central Florida bangs home another to make it 14-9 with 9 minutes to go. Just in time for Colvin to catch fire. Throwing 5 for 5 on the next drive, Colvin gets us in th eendzone with an 11 yard TD pass to Noll. 21-9 Stockton with 4:44 left in the game. With 3 minutes to go, Finley picks off his 3rd pass of the game and places us right at the Central Florida 8 yardline. It's only a matter fo time. Colvin to Noll for 5 yards. 28-9 Stockton with 2:43 left in the game. Just before the 2 minute warning, we pick off another pass, this time by Thomason, and he takes it 45 yards for the TD. Stockton leads 35-9. Final Score: Stockton wins 35-9 What did I notice? Colvin had ZERO interceptions with 4 TDs. He threw 26-42 with 266 yards. However, running the ball was extremely unsuccessful. Bates did not score any sacks (Calwell had 1), but he did hurry the QB 6 times. And now this is our best start ever. Even better, we are ranked!! Richard Stockton, according to the BCS, is ranked 34th. According to the polls, we are 39th. Do I expect it to last? Nope. |

We get down to the 4 yardline, and go for the field goal. Virginia Tech blocks it and recovers it at the 11. We exchange punts and then Virginia Tech hits a 31 yard FG to take the 3-0 lead. We continue to exchange punts until on a 3rd and long play, Colvin is sacked and fumbles the ball. Two plays later, Virginia Tech is in the end zone. 10-0 Tech We take it to the Virginia Tech 40, and turn it over on downs. Tech then takes it all the way and scores another TD. Tech leads 17-0. With less than a minute to go, Tech scores another TD...We try a FG as time runs off, and it falls short. Half-Time: Virginia Tech leads 24-0 Virginia Tech scores again on a 20 yard FG half way through the 3rd. Tech leads 27-0 We finally put together a drive on the arm of Colvin as he takes it the length of the field. 27-7 Tech Virginia Tech in turn does the same. 34-7 Tech. I have another game I play, and for a season or two I let the computer handle everything except recruiting... I load up Richard Stockton, and the options are still the computer handles all the stuff.... So all my redshirts were removed... Ugh...season from hell. |

Well....
I think this dynasty may have just come to an end. Everytime I try to sim the first week of the bowl games, I get a "Front Office Football: The College Years has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The game works fine with my other "games" but with the Stockton one, it brings up that error... It might be a windows problem as I have been having problems with it. It might not be...either way, it'll be a while before I continue this, if I ever do... |
