6.0b - Double free agent signing

Happy to have him end up on my team, but it came as quite a surprise since he resigned with Buffalo first

It's the Carlos Boozer bug!

BTW, not that this has anything to do with the thread, but...

-1000 karma points for amdaily, since he's playing as the Raiders and presumably attempting to make them a legitimate team into the future.

Do releases show in the transaction history? Maybe they cut him after resigning him?

Or maybe the offer had to be pulled due to cap space? Does that show in the transaction history?

Nothing else in the transaction log except turned down contract offer. Buffalo has $13 million in free cap space.

I haven't looked at this kind of stuff too closely, but is it possible that he was an RFA, and that wasn't a contract from Buffalo, but simply an offer sheet?

I had the exact same thing happen with Kevin Curtis. I was the Raiders, trying to sign him, a URFA, and he resigned with Stl. EVERY STAGE before signing with me in stage 5.

Yeah, I see it happening again with DT Rob Meier, who keeps resigning with Jacksonville every stage.

Is it affecting their cap (assuming they are offering these players signing bonuses?)

Hmmm, I can't seem to tell if it's affecting their cap or not. I'm out of FA now, so it's harder to look at it. My guess would say no, because Atlanta was signing this FB, but then I ended up with him, and Atlanta is still $24 million over the cap. But I can't be sure. They do have $4.76 million lost this year.

This is exactly how two players signed with me as well. Although, I only played the first season.

Same with me:

I made a bid for a TE in the 2nd stage of FA before the draft. The only other offer he received was from Denver. It appears as if he signed with his old team, Tampa Bay, in stage 2. He then stayed on the FA list with offers pending and then signed with me in stage 6.

There's a lot of attention being made to the number of RB carries but not much to this. To me, this is a showstopper that will make me stop playing until fixed. After I received 2 players after they signed with someone else made the "signing" with me seem very shallow.

I would like to see a reply from the producer on three things----

1.The above mentioned signings.
2.The way out of line running back carries.
3.And - what also is receiving little attention - the recording of kick penalties to the wrong team.

I don't post here a lot but I have purchased every edition of FOF and ask only a few qiestions. It would be nice to have Jim acknowledge one now and then.

I've seen you mention this like this several times, but I haven't seen any post an actual explanation of what you're saying.

So.. what is this bug you're talking about?

I never get my "qiestions" answered either.

I'm still waiting for a response to my question about where babies come from.

Oh, if I could find a scan of that Life in Hell comic by Matt Groenig....

Binky is talking to his son. The conversation goes like this:
"Where do babies come from?"
"Do you know what fucking is?"
"Yes."
"That's where babies come from."
