Reggie Ball -- Apparently no class either.

Or if he was in class, he wasn't paying attention.

I bet the odds tilt a few points in Tech's favor!

Probably ought to donate it to a homeless shelter or something ... I've got plenty of toilet paper already.

Nice. Tech won't know what to do with an actual quarterback.

Merry Christmas Calvin Johnson. He may get a few catchable balls thrown his way now.

Isn't Reggie Ball like 35 years old by now? He shouldn't have to go to class.

Puts a very interesting twist on the game. It's already been reported that Taylor Bennett (CJ's roommate on the road) is getting ready to try and talk Calvin into sticking around - now we get to see what they can do together.

Well, damn... Kenny Scott (4-year starting CB) is also ineligible. That's going to suck.

I'd say one star being ineligible is forgivable, since those kinds of things happen. Two isn't. What is this coaching staff doing?

They should have saved some coaching blocks for the end of the season.

Kenny Scott is ineligible... that's one star.

Who's this other 'star' that you speak of?

What kind of college football program is this? I bet they don't even give their football players cars or money!

Hmmmm....go to USC and get the Reggie Bush treatment or go to Georgia Tech and actually have to pass your classes...

This is why I turn off academics in BBCF.

As a WVU fan, this makes me a little nervous.

Not that our defense is any good, but having a complete unknown at QB to prepare against is going to be tough. No film and limited scouting information will make it tough to get ready for Bennett.

Trust me, I'm sure Rich Rodriguez is calling up GT right now offering to take Ball's tests for him...

I think it's more a testament to Georgia Tech taking academics seriously (in the same way that low graduation %s actually speak well of a school/program, since they're not just handing degrees to everyone).

At least he has a lucrative NFL QB future to fall back on when he doesn't graduate.

Actually he got that one right, but missed a couple of others.

How many points is a three point shot worth?
How many downs do you get to make a first down?

During a recent game, Team A scored 42 points. Team B scored 13 points.

Which team won the game?

FWIW - there's a distinct difference between flunking out and being academically ineligible - senior year at GT is NOT an easy year, regardless of the semester. Tech doesn't have the giveaway classes and tests that some schools have - when I was there, I was in classes with a bunch of athletes (Travis Best, James Forrest, about half the volleyball team, handful of offensive linemen that I know of)... the only player I saw who was in an "easy" class was Dion Glover (and he showed up twice... then declared for the draft).

I'm not making any excuses - this falls on the players, and to a lesser extent on the coaching staff - but it sucks by any level to make it through four years of a very tough curriculum, and fall out of eligibility in the home stretch.

Ok Reggie, last question.
You are playing UGA.
Its 3rd and 7 tied score, with the minutes to go.

You drop back to pass, you see two GT players streaking down th sidelines wide open, one is 6'6" tall and runs a 4.2 40, but he left the line of scrimmage .7 seconds after the other WR who is 5'8" and runs a 4.6.....

Quick which Player wearing red do you throw the ball to....
