The Suns are Smokin'!!!

I just noticed that the Phoenix Suns, who have won their past 15 games, have gone an unbelievable 31-2 since their very lackluster 3-6 start to the season.

31 out of 33!!! That is Jordan-Bull'esque.... without a MJ type of player.

But but but they have Steve Nash, the guy who's won like the last 43 MVP awards or something.

They are ALMOST halfway to the all-time Record of 33 games!

Nash has to be the favourite for MVP #3 right now. 15 wins in a row is damn impressive but what is even more impressive is that this is their second 15 game win streak this season.

It's almost as impressive as how much everybody overlooks Dallas who has a better record and has beaten the Suns both times they played.

Who is overlooking Dallas? The thread was about the Suns so I commented on the Suns. I think most people agree thyat Dallas is the best team in the NBA right now.

Do you want me to cite specific articles or do you really think I was talking directly to you? It's an observation. No more, no less.

It's a shame that at least two of Phoenix, Dallas, and San Antonio will have to sit and watch the finals at home, while some team from the East will end up playing by default. (Though I acknowledge that the East has improved a bit from the beginning of the season).

I don't doubt your observations. Alot of people are talking about the Suns, but I think just as many are in agreement about the Mavs. And by the way just an observation from me now. Lighten up a bit. No need to be so damn touchy over a message board post.

You might want to take your own advice.

Watch the Conference Finals like it is the NBA Finals then. It's the way it is in every sport, and that is never going to change.

You're right, maybe I should. I was just reacting to your tone in the post you made.

Wasn't this about last's year Western Conference semi-final (DAL-SA) and final last year? And the year Detroit won? The World Series? This year's Super Bowl?

As long as Dwyane Wade has his own personal ref's whistle around his neck, the Heat will always be contenders.

Here in Phoenix a guy called into sports radio just absolutely flipping out when the topic of Nash winning a third straight MVP came up. I'm paraphrasing here:

"YOU!....YOU!.....YOU GONNA TELL ME!!!!......BIRD!...WILT!!!..RUSSEL!!!...NASH HASN'T WON THE TITLES THESE GUYS DID!!!! HE DOESN'T DESERVE! HOW CAN YOU...HOW CAN YOU EVEN TALK ABOUT THAT!!!!"

Which, while being completely bizarre that the thought of Nash winning three MVPs would be absolutely crippling to our civilized society, also reinforces my theory since the mid80s. Namely, that sports talk radio was invented so that people from the Northeastern United States could give themselves nicknames and scream on the radio.

I'm not a Suns fan but they sure are fun to watch. Who knows if they can get past Dallas and/or San Antonio. I still think Dallas is a bit better team at this point but you never know.

Edit: (Jordan pushed off)
