TNM 7: WWF - A Triumphant Return
It was late in 2006 when news struck that once again turned the wrestling world upside down. Vince McMahon was yet again indicted in a Federal Steroid Case and was forced to turn over ownership of the WWE to his son Shane McMahon. Shane, a notorious MMA fan took little time in making wholesale changes that will surely rock the wrestling world.
Firstly, Shane has cleared out his writing staff and brought back much maligned Paul Heyman to run the show. Along with that, Shane has cleared out numerous wrestlers who were nothing more then body builders playing the part of wrestlers. While the list of wrestlers released is far too numerous to list, some of the main ones were HHH, John Cena, Batista and Umaga, amongst others. To replace these wrestlers Shane has emptied out such regional federations as IWA-MS, PWG and FIP, as well as top independant promotion ROH. Also in a shocking bit of news, Shane has managed to sneak away several prominent TNA wrestlers that will debut at the upcoming Royal Rumble. Because of all the new talent and the outgoing talent, Paul Heyman announced all titles vacant, with them all being filled at Royal Rumble, headlined by a 30 Man Rumble for the WWF Title. As you may have noticed the initials WWF have come up a lot, that is because Shane has bought back the WWF from the World Wildlife Fund and to bring this change full circle, the WWE is once again the WWF. So join us Sunday January 28th, 2007 from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI for the Royal Rumble, where the face of the WWF will change as we know it forever. |

Out of curiousity, why Finlay? Finlay's a good wrestler, but doesn't have the mic chops to take the lead in a title run, especially one after a reboot.

Even now he is over an exceptional amount on SD and I went with the grizzly vet as kind of a culmination of his career thing. WrestleMania will sort many things out though, as theirs a method to my madness. |
