Champions League Final **Spoilers**

Figured I'd put the spoilers just in case.

Wow, what a match. The first time I actually watched a whole non-national team soccer game, and it was a good one. Milan did a great job in PK's. UEFA Cup final decided by penalty kicks. Wow!
Even it if it hadn't a been such a great game, I still enjoyed watching the players fall down every time they get tapped. Buffon, and Dida did a great job with PK's, but Juventas (sp.) couldn't come away with it.

I'm glad Milan won. They play as much attacking football as any Italian club I know of, and that sort of game is always to be encouraged.

Incidentally, the tournament is called the Champion's League. The UEFA Cup is something different.

UEFA is the organization that governs it, I believe. But there's a Champion's League and a UEFA Cup (Porto and Celtics, I think?).

My TV is broken so didn't get to watch it. Kinda feel bad for that midfielder that got suspended for the game on yellows, though.

Was the match played on national television in America, or did you have to watch it on cable? I don't remember many people giving too much of a shit about football when I lived over there.

I thought there was too liberal an allowance for the keepers (both of them) movement forward before the ball strike. They seemed to be 3 feet out before the pk was taken.

They were showing a lot of the games leading up to the final on ESPN2. Usually mid-day on Tuesday (PST).

It's the UEFA Champions League. There is also the UEFA Cup which is the second-tier European tournament which was between Celtic and FC Porto.

I was hoping Juventus would pull it out because I hate Berlusconi but Milan was the better team. Congrats to the European Champs!
