OOTP Boards down?

They've down for me all day. I wasn't sure if it was just me or if it really was, tho.

Down again. Maybe the long awaited beta CubbyFan rosters are out and that crashed the site, lol.

Well even still, they said the release wouldn't be perfect. I wonder if once they get it in working form, whether or not that'll mean that it'll be good enough to use for a long time or something. It seems as if now you'd almost need a 'base' roster and just have someone update and maintain it regularly to keep the game update for perpetuity.

The sinister part of me thinks that it was done on purpose. I know it wasn't. But...given that everyone knew they were coming...it's pretty coincidental. And the boards worked all through the day otherwise, because I was logged in and used them a bit.

Oh well. It's midseason, no rush now, right? lol

That's why I went strickly fictional. Learning a new league has upped the fun factor for me so far.

Facegen is the greatest invention since sliced bread. It's really cool to see one of my players in a Memphis Redbird jersey, then bring him up and see him in his new Cardinal jersey.

Agreed. I've had more fun with this version than any other simply running all of the leagues I've always wanted to, but never could get immersed into. It's nuts. And I spent hours designing jerseys for one of my fictional teams. I knew it was crazy when I was doing that.

What's weird is just last week I was never planning on installing it again once I went back to Windows XP. I finally had a whole weekend without wife and kids and finally had the time to really see if I could get into this game or not. Thanks to Icy ands his template, it was quick to setup and get going.

Icy, you did a hell of a job, thanks!

If I could find a decent real world template I'd use fictional players too now I think. I'm tired of being screwed over. I wish there was one out there with all the leagues and all the logos and stadiums and team names. That's really what roster makers should concentrate on rather than trying to get every rating right for every real player.

yes, but if I'm going to play fictional, why not play with all the leagues of the world active?
