NCAA 2008: The reshuffle (a BBCF dynasty)

A major shake up happened after three schools ended the 2007 season undefeated after all the bowl games were over. Member schools started pointing fingers at their weaker conference mates, others wanted a bigger piece of the TV pie, and others just wanted to go back to the bowl games as they were. The NCAA finally stepped up and laid down their law, with 120 member schools they divided them into 15, 8-team conferences....many tradational rivariles were kept in the same conference while some were split off...bowl games got some tradational matchups and some got totally revamped.

I'm picked to win the WAC with Arizona State.

the rest of the league looks like this

2 - Nevada
3 - Colorado
4 - New Mexico
5 - Colorado St.
6 - New Mexico St.
7 - Arizona
8 - UNLV

I'm lead by Sr WR Dwaine Willis and Jr OT Chris Chandler on offense as I prepare to run a balanced offense. I run a 4-3 defense and rely on Sr DE Atnaf Colvin, Jr OLB Al McCree & Sr SS Bryan Stewart to help me keep the other team from scoring.

Looking over my roster I've got 13 seniors starting for me..not bad, but my young guys are going to need to improve fast.

I manage to get 4 non-conference games to give me 11 total for the year.

1- Northwestern
3- TCU
5- @ New Mexico
7- @ Nevada
8- UNLV
9- Colorado
10- New Mexico St
12- @ Colorado St
13- @ Central Michigan
14- Arizona
15- Boise St.

I was looking to fill weeks 2 & 4, but no one wanted to come to Tempe to play.

Northwestern is picked to finish 6th in the Big East so I'm picked to win by 15 in this matchup. The Wildcats have a great WR, but not much else. They are very weak at both OG spots so it looks like that is where I'll be bringing the pressure this week.

In other action; (NOTE: I won't be giving out ranking numbers until week 5)

USC vs Louisville
Georgis Tech at Nebraska
Michigan at Oklahoma
Boston College at LSU
BYU vs Penn St
Purdue vs Notre Dame

I invited the #4 QB in the nation and #1 in the West to come see my game too. He's a 5* player out of CA and has me Very High right now so hopefully I'll impress him.

Well the good news is no one is injured...the bad news is I lost 27-24 in double overtime as my kicker missed a FG on our last possition to send it to a third OT. I'd consider putting in the true freshmen if he keeps it up. My team started off strong intercepting the first play of the game leading to a short field and TD scoring drive, but we seemed to let NWestern stay in the game as the half ended tied 10-10. Going into the final 2 mins. of the game NWestern drive of 54 yards on two plays to tie the game and send it to OT.

in WAC action;
Colorado 27 Missouri 19
Colorado St 27 N. Texas 17
UNLV 3 Boise St 65
New Mexico 21 Wyoming 16
Arizona 20 Oregon 27
Nevada 10 Oregon St 20
New Mexico St 16 UTEP 66

In other action;
USC 16 Louisville 10
Georgis Tech 10 Nebraska 20
Michigan 27 Oklahoma 21
Boston College 20 LSU 43
BYU 7 Penn St 27
Purdue 23 Notre Dame 26 OT
