Tiger Woods PGA Championship 2003
So I bought this game the other day and love it. Im wondering if there isn't some way we could have some sort of online league with this game using the network play option. Anyone have any thoughts? Also, what courses do you recommend? Ive downloaded several (they take forever cause you have to get so many libraries with each of the good ones). Any favorites?

Great game. I love the career mode. Damn, I just said something good about EA.
With this game they took a good golf game and gave it personality. To me that's what the Links games always lacked. |

I still haven't figured out how to make a season of customized players, although I might just try copying player files into the PGA Tour directory and overwriting the real players in it.
I've only played it a couple of times, and the gameplay is pretty sweet. |

If we can get anything going for network play, let me know! I picked up the game over a week ago, and am now hopelessly hooked!!!

Great game, I'm not particularly good at it, and I know NOTHING about Golf, but I had a pretty good time playing it. The Career mode was a lot of fun.
I might be up for trying a network game if I get some more practice in. |

What was up with the putting in 2002?
As far as I can tell it seems pretty good in 2003. |

FrogMan, I think Target was selling for it like 10 bucks, and a couple other places where as well. Could be wrong, but if that's the case, no reason not to make the plunge.

yeah, but I don't know of any Target in Canada, heh, heh
I bought 2002 as part of a really cheap bundle (30$cdn for 4 ea sports games from the 2002 series, NHL, FIFA, Madden & TW) about a month and a half ago and I'm still having fun with. I've seen it for 30$cdn around here. I'll probably keep on playing with 2002 until it drops to 20 or so... That way, I'll better my skills and when I'll get it, I'll be able to play a better career in 2003 FM

What's involved in the career mode? There's a season mode also right? How in depth is that? Seriously considering picking this game up tonight to hold me over until seadogs 2 comes out.

With the career mode, you start as an amateur. You earn money so you can raise your abilities and buy new equipment, and when you place in the top 35 in a qulaifying tourney, you move up to the next level. In total, there are five levels, and you cannot raise your abilities past a certain point until you move on to the next level.
A ton of fun! Haven't tried the season mode out yet, so I cannot speak to that.

I stopped by Walmart and they had it for $30. They did have 2002 for $10. I didn't get it, figuring I could get it from gogamer for less, but it's $30 there too. |

I think WM has it for 30$cdn around here while I know for sure that "Bureau en Gros" (French Canadian branch of Staples) has it for 30$cdn. I have not shopped around more than that though... I read in another thread that you can definitely get it for $20 US... I downloaded the demo yesterday and tried it today. Looks pretty nice, although visually it's not all that much different than 2002. That career mode is pretty enticing I gotta say... Do you realize that the demo was 67 mb and once installed, it took 200md of hard drive space Seems like just yesterday that we were all on dial-up connections, on our 14k modems FM

The demo was pretty sweet, but I hope the real version is a bit harder. I flubbed my first shot badly, but chipped in for an eagle on the second hole. Then I shot birdies on three of the four holes my second time around.

I agree it's quite easy on the level they set it at. It reminds me of the amateur level on TW2002. As soon as you got to the professional and tour level, then you better have a pretty stable mouse swing because you can fade and draw and slice and hook your shots all over the place
