I signed up for this yesterday. No real clue what I'm doing but I have three fighters on my team. One of them won his first fight then lost his second while my second fighter lost his first by split decision...

As I said, no clue what I'm doing and I've not found much as far as instructions go, but it's mindless fun anyway.

Fighter 1 hasn't fought yet.
Fighter 2 was knocked out in round 1.
Fighter 3 lost by unanimous decision.

Clearly my stable isn't so hot.

My fighter who was 1-1 has since won a second fight, this time by KO on a punch in the 2nd round.

My second fighter has now lost his first two fights and my third fighter has won his only fight, by unanimous decision.

If you've not figured it out, try sparring one fighter one a skill with another fighter from your team that is better at that skill than the that guy who you're doing the sparring for. Yeah, confusing explanation, I know.

dola, and I now have $3,100 in the bank, saving to improve on a piece of equipment ($5,000), don't know which one. I did a couple buys of fancy gloves or shorts at first but then realize that style won't do me any good if my guys don't improve...

I'm also reading a bit about fighting styles and what skills are good with what. I've only read that MMArtist is the style we should avoid, good for nothing...

If anybody wants to have a tilt, I've got two WW and a HW:

Simon Nelson - HW (Battle on the Block)
Justin Allen - WW (Jab N Sprawl)
Bruce Patterson - WW (Battle on the Block)

I've signed a promotion deal with each of them, but looks like you can still arrange fights as well (not 100% on that).

What you probably did is signed into a series, which one?

Once in there, you can challenge others, or wait for someone to challenge you and accept it.

As long as we know who's in which series, we can keep on challenging FOFCers among ourselves...

I'll post my guys' series a bit later...

Yeah, I think I see how it works now, just got my first challenge so that cleared it up somewhat, thanks!

My fighters are:
Roger "Fender Bender" Bennett (2-1), MW in GEC
Gene "DNA beater" Gautheir (0-2), WW in FF
Jacob "Jake Brakes" Grenier (1-0), LHW in Night at the Fights (NaT)

Sorry, I don't remember what the initials really mean and can only read the logo on the fighter's page.

Organizations have minimum level of popularity that you need to have in order to sign with them. The higher you go, the more money you make per fight/win. FF and NaT are the lowest ones you can fight in. GEC is the level right above.

You can move from one organizations to another as most contracts are one fight and out that you can set to auto-renew. The GEC contract was a 2 fights minimum though...

Not bad, 2-1 to start off and halfway through each of my fighters contracts now with a team fund of $4050. So far I've got a unanimous decision and first round headkick KO on the plus side and a first round rear naked choke submission loss.

I am kind of curious how many try to limit their popularity to inflate their W/L record against newer fighters with lesser skill sets.

nice start indeed!

Winning record in lower series will probably not bring much to these people. It's been said in their forums that you will climb sometimes more by losing to a higher ranked fighter than by winning against a lowly one...

funny thing just happened. Bennett just got challenged to a MW (185lbs) fight by a guy who usually weighs in at 198lbs. First challenge, the guy couldn't make the weight, second challenge, he makes the weight and this happens:
Global Extreme Cagefighting
185lbs
Marcus "MILF HUNTER" Butler
Camp: Texas 2 Step
Age: 29
Style: Flying Submissions
Record: 23 - 9
Nation:
VS
Roger "Fender Bender" Bennett
Camp: MMA Frogs
Age: 27
Style: Swing for the Fences
Record: 3 - 1
Nation:

Round 1
Bennett throws a cross that easily dodged by Marcus Butler. Marcus takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. The fighters circle each other. Butler throws a cross that easily dodged by Roger. "MILF HUNTER" snaps back the head of Bennett with a stiff jab. "Fender Bender" counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Bennett lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Roger Bennett escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Marcus lands a jab, but it is returned by a sick uppercut from Roger Bennett. "MILF HUNTER" is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Roger Bennett. Roger Bennett throws a cross that easily dodged by Marcus Butler. Bennett connects with a right that puts Marcus off balance tumbling to the mat, as Bennett towers over him. Roger Bennett lays into Marcus Butler with some stomps. Marcus Butler can't handle it as the ref stops the fight.

Roger "Fender Bender" Bennett wins by KO (Stomps)

BOOOOOYAH!!! No wonder he's 23-9, from the fighter page, I see many challenges made to guys under his weight category... Still got him though...

Fender Bender is the star of my team at the moment, currently ranked around #8000, before that win against a guy ranked around #1700. Should move on up...

dola, that fight boosted Bennett's popularity by half a point, from 1.25 to 1.75, nice...
