Traffic Ticket Question
I got written up for my first ever ticket exactly a month ago for speeding. Since receiving the citation I have received nothing in the mail when I was supposed to in about a week. I also continue checking the online system which says it can take up to 21 days after issuance to be posted. It's not listed on there after 31 days. All the correct information is listed on the citation.
Is there any chance that after the cop gave me the citation that he either decided not to process the ticket or made a mistake trying to process it? Will calling the courthouse verify whether or not it was put through? The court appearance date is not for another 3 weeks, so I want to make sure I get this figured out before then. |

Not a chance he forgot. They have to log things in as to location, what they were doing, etc. You should ALWAYS show up for a court appearance (for traffic violations) no matter if you are guilty or not. The worst thing that could happen is that you show up, and your name isn't on the docket?
