Water Polo on MSNBC now
I've never actually seen it on TV other than maybe during the Olympics and I don't really remember what it looked like. Needless to say, it's not a tv sport.

It's a brutal sport. But it's not conducive to television and because it's on MSNBC, it's really vanilla. I'm sure if it were on Fox or ESPN, we'd get zoom and stuff that would make it more interesting to watch. The high school cheerleaders added to the cheesy factor and I turned the channel after that.
Interesting that the Olympics have the pull they do, even the trials manage to attract people to come watch. |

I think they have better camera angles and they don't play outdoors. I'm not watching anymore, but it was hard to really see what was going on, because all you could literally see was lots of swimming and not much else. I just thought it was poorly executed on MSNBC, than any real flaws with the sport, because now that I think about it, I've seen it during the Olympics before and it's always more...well...it's just better presented than what we're seeing in the trials today. |
