It's on my netflix list, but haven't seen it yet. The previews made it look like Mr. Perv picks the wrong girl to take home and molest...does that pretty much sum it up?

Just saw this movie. It was excruiatingly hard to watch at first and then you wanted to just have her torture him some more. That was some fucked up shit.

I thought Hard Candy was psychologically disturbing but I liked it... Ellen Page did a fantastic job. |

Isn't she the same girl that was in that teen pregnancy movie last year?

I thought I remembered her from somewhere, and yes hard candy is one seriously fucking twisted movie. She's quite good.

It was an interesting twist on the who pedophile/cyber-stalker as predator theme. I found some of it a bit far-fetched and over-the-top, but the two leads were excellent. I think there were 5 speaking roles in the entire movie, three of which have about a total of 3 minutes of screen time.
Ellen Page was really, really impressive. I thought Patrick Wilson (who is going to be Nite Owl in the "Watchmen" movie). Between the solid performances of the two leads what the director did with color in the film, there are just a ton of very vibrant primary colors throughout (I'm sure there was a rhyme or reason to them, but I'd have to watch it again to pick up the pattern), it was decent enough.

Yeah some of the things were a bit far-fetched. I thought the two main actors did awesome. Sandra Oh was there too, in one of the short speaking roles.

Dola,
Maybe I should hijack this into an Ellen Page appreciation thread. I was meaning to create one. |
