I think World War Z has been suggested in every thread on this forum about books (and audiobooks) since it was released. And for good reason.

Anthony/HA mentions the book a few posts into this thread.

So I'm sick of only watching movies and TV shows, and want to start reading fiction (other than comics) again. Is there a way to find a list of recommended books, given that I've probably only read a couple of fiction books in the past few years?

I hear there's some sort of zombie book out there that people like, but the name escapes me.

Ok, so I've browsed this forum and elsewhere, and I've made a list of books that I want to try. The nearest library to me only had one of them, so I picked that up... Moneyball. Started it last night, and looked up some of the players that were mentioned for the 2002 draft... interesting to see that a lot of them actually were picked by the As, but it doesn't look like anyone but Swisher has made it to the bigs yet.
Anyone know the story of that guy who threw for a 1.00ERA in the minors, striking out something like 32 batters in 18 innings? I looked him up too (forget the name now though), and after that one season he just fell off! |

I have it at home. I'll post it here after work. Some fiction, some other stuff.
