Schedule is usually:

Sunday - Simming of FOOL Classic, other teams can offer roster moves (contract extensions, cutting players, etc) Trade window immediately following the FOOL Classic sim.
Monday - Last chance to re-sign players before they become a free agent.
Tuesday - First night of free agency. (Conversely, you can ALWAYS offer a free agent a contract if they're in the free agent pool. This date is just for guys who are under contract to declare they're free agents and they now enter the pool.
Wednesday - Second night of free agency, draft pool revealed after this sim
Thursday - Final chance to sign free agents. Set your roster for spring training, set draft lists for the draft. Trade deadline at 10pm eastern
Friday - Get rosters ready for opening day. Season is run Friday night. Must be under salary cap to avoid penalty.
Saturday - Currently open night.

Here is the sim schedule.

As for the rules, here's what we have.

- No injuries
- No coaches and scouts
- 154-game season, with no inter-league play
- League champs play in best-of-nine game FOOL Classic (home team rules apply)
- DH only in the RL (as of 1967), CL remains a no-DH league (as of 1964)
- $65 million salary cap
- $32 million cash maximum (to match the same amount as media money)
- 25 man rosters at all levels

The FOOL Board of Directors is a committee of four members. It'll be 3 owners and the CEO and an ex-officio member who is the Founder/Past CEO of FOOL.

The BoD duties include helping govern the league, arbitrate disputes, evaluate and propose new rules for vote and "other duties as delegated to the commissioner."

The role of each of the members will be as follows:

Commissioner

1. Run league files
2. Elected by a vote of the members at-large (owners) of FOOL every four seasons.
3. When owning a team in the league, is a voting member of the BoD for arbitration and rules disputes, when not an owning member, serves as independent arbitrator for the league.
4. Recommends rules modifications to the BoD for discussion amongst the league.
5. Other duties as delegated by the BoD.

Board of Directors

1. Approve rules modifications, upon the recommendation of the league owners.
2. Submit rules proposals for vote, based on owner feedback.
3. Arbitrate rules disputes amongst owners.
4. Elected by the members at-large (owners) of FOOL
5. May conduct a vote of no-confidence on the Commissioner (2/3rd needed), triggering an immediate vote of the members at-large to replace the Commissioner.
6. Each league must have at least one member on the BoD, one owner may be from either league.
7. Elected every four seasons.

Ex-Oficio Member

1. Founder of FOOL
2. Semi-Permanent, may only be removed by a majority vote of the entire league
3. Serves as a member of all BoD committee discussions.
4. Breaks ties amongst the BoD + Commissioner when needed.

The rule on trades are:

Trades can be consummated from Sunday night to Thursday night.

You may make a trade after the season (usually Friday night or sometime Saturday) is run, but the trade will not be processed until after the FOOL Classic sim on Sunday night at 10pm eastern

Trades must be posted before the deadline or they will not be processed until the next night's sim.

You must wait 24 hours after releasing a player (1 sim) before making another offer to resign said player.

During the off-season (Monday-Thursday) rosters in the majors and Rookie ball are expanded to 40 man. They revert back to 25 man on Friday before the season starts and during the season.

You cannot trade a free agent you sign from another team until at least one season after you've acquired him.

Draft picks cannot be traded.

A new owner is entitled to change his or her team's stadium after they've completed 4 seasons in FOOL.

Owners in the league prior to this rule are grandfathered in.

Stadium changes may only occur once every 15 FOOL seasons, except in the case of a new owner or other extenuating circumstance as adjudged by the Commissioner or BoD. Stadium moves have to be approved by the BoD and applied by the Commissioner they're not automatic.
