Internet through your cable company....

I'm thinking seriously about dropping directv and going with HD Cable, phone, and internet all through one company. My questions is, with the cable internet, does it run in on a cable line, and will it plug into a wireless router? I've got it through the phone company right now, and it plugs into a wireless router. I've never had the cable's broadband, and can't find much on their website.

The company will provide you with a cable modem, which will plug into your wireless router.

Yup, the cable modem just spits out an ethernet cable. Do with it what you will from there.

What about their phone service, will it use my current phone line, or will it run in on a "cable" line?

It will use the cable line to enter the house, but from there the tech injects the signal into your home phone lines, so it's just like regular phone service.

What cable company are you planning on going to? Do you download torrents at all? Some cable companies frown on that. For more info on the company you are planning on going to, check out this site:

I'm going to assume considering the knowledge known about the service that he doesn't download torrents and possibly doesn't know what they are, other then a type of vehicle.
