TEW: ECf'nW!

With the problems with my WWF game, I reinstalled the database, did some checks, and everything worked out well. This time I will use my first love, ECW, in the same 1997 time period. It'll be violent and vulgar, so be advised.

The world of wrestling in December, 1997

Hot off the heels of the Montreal Screwjob, the landscape of pro wrestling has been changed forever. As WCW continues to surge ahead in the Monday Night ratings, the WWF is treading water, trying to save themselves from drowning. Things seem bleak though, as WWF mainstay Bret Hart left for WCW, but not before being the victim of the biggest screwjob in wrestling history.

Meanwhile as WCW wages war on WWF, there remains a promotion with a legion of fans that strives on chaos and controversey, a promotion based out of bingo falls in Philadelphia, and ballrooms in New York. That promotion is ECW, and it's mission to innovate its way to greatness.

ECW Hardcore TV
Friday, Week 1, December 1997

Pre-Show Dark Match
Chris Candido d. Road Kill

Pre-Show Dark Match
Lance Storm d. Axl Rotten

ECW Hardcore TV opens up with Taz coming to the ring with his ECW Television Title. He rips a mic away from the ring announcer. He can't even get a word in at first as the crowd is chanting "BREAK HIS FUCKING NECK!" "BREAK HIS FUCKING NECK!", hoping Taz will oblige and suplex the hell out of the ring announcer. Taz finally is able to speak, and he promises that at Holiday Hell in four weeks, he plans on breaking someones neck, he just doesn't know whose yet, which is why next week he has personally taked to Paul Heyman to make a four corners match, with the winner getting a TV title shot at Holiday Hell! (C+)

Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon defeated Kid Kash and Little Guido after Furnas hit Kash with a top rope DDT (C-)

Joey Styles talks about our next match, which is a number 1 contenders match for Shane Douglas ECW World Title at Holiday Hell, between Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn! (D)

Rob Van Dam defeated Jerry Lynn after a Five Stat Frog Splash (C)

Backstage Tommy Dreamer is talking about how 1998 is going to be known as the year of Tommy Dreamer when he is cut off by a vicious chair shot from Bam Bam Bigelow. Bigelow says 1998 will be known as the year Bigelow ended Dreamers life instead! (C-) Bigelow walks away as the Sandman runs over to check on his friend. Dreamer is bleeding buckets, causing paramedics to rush over and load Dreamer up on a gurney (C+)

Shane Douglas defeated Sabu with a Belly to Belly Suplex (C) After the match Douglas begins pounding away on Sabu when Rob Van Dam hits the ring to clean house (C)

Show Rating: C-

ECW News

- Our show does a .01 on MSG. Obviously this isn't going to work well for us, so the plan is to try expanding by adding live events. Therefore every Wednesday will be an hour and a half live show called ECW On the Road where we will run as many territories as we can to build up an audience the old fashioned way.

- We book our debut of On the Road, with a non title match between Rob Van Dam and Shane Douglas. Also Dreamer & The Sandman will take on Furnas and LaFon.

- On Hardcore TV, our four corners match will be Bam Bam Bigelow vs Lance Storm vs Sabu vs The Sandman to determine the #1 contender for the ECW TV Title.

- We sign Homicide and Masato Tanaka to PPA deals. We hope to develope both into marquee players for us.
