Board of Director Nominations (2009 term)
Chief Rum's term as CL rep ends after next season. To ensure continuity, I'd like to see if we have any nominees for the post now, so we can have someone in place to start on the board after next week whoever it's gonna be.
Any nominees?

I nominate Chief if he would like to continue to serve.

Thanks, Tim. I will continue to serve if I am the only nominee, or if that is how the league feels (by vote), but I actually think it's important to rotate these positions and get different perspectives.
As such, I would like to nominate Alan. I would nominate muns, but he's still in the midst of his basketball season, so I figure I will throw Alan out there now, and then maybe we can see if muns would be interested after his season is over.

I appreciate the nomination Chief, but I am going to pass I think. With work being busier right now, I actually have gotten back to enjoying FOOL more lately again. I think I find without having to deal with league issues/politics/whatever (staying mostly oblivious of whatever comes up), I am enjoying it much more just coasting along.
I think as long as things stay relatively like they are now without much change in the league, I am perfectly ok with the direction DC, you and other board members have been handling things the past several seasons. I am ok with you staying on the board, or if you want some change I think it is time someone convince Teach to join up. She can't pretend to be the new person anymore |

muns, do you have the time yet? Not that I don't like working with CR, but other's ideas are good for a change sometimes.

Thanks for nod, but im not totally here yet. This is our last week game wise, but im in and out with recruiting still as districts playoffs starts in PA this week, Jersey is gearing up for there's in another 2 weeks and Marylands states start here in another. I was in Jersey all day today. I should have a beastly recruiting class coming in (PRAYING) so im really putting in the time. Put over 1,000 miles on the car this month already. Maybe next round here for Fool. Until then Id like to second Alans nomination of Teach. |

You know what, I'll second the Teach nomination.
I'd also second Chief. Either one of you would be good for the league.

I accept (with tons of respect to Chief, of course) the above nominations and appreciate the support.

Well since Chief said he would let someone serve if they were nominated, given that Teach has never been on the board before, it stands to reason that she should go ahead and serve the next 6-year term, since she was the only other one nominated.
Her term will begin post-Classic. |
