Anyone watching the World Baseball Classic?
Just wondering. The Dutch team upset the Dominican Republic. Over on McCovey Chronicles, I found out that the Dutch call baseball "honkbal".
The USA beat Canada in what was actually an exciting finish. In terms of patriotic jingoism, I suppose baseball is pretty harmless. Go America!

I have been watching when I could. Caught a good deal of the US game. Pretty hard to see the Asia games in the odd hours, so I didn't watch those, although I have been following along the scores and general game happenings. Japan seems to be rolling along just fine.

No, I have not been watching it.
Unless I was forced to by the stupid Netherlands game taking forever and going over into the college basketball broadcast.

It sounds funnier than it really is, because it's the best translation possible.

Same here, although the Panama-PR game is losing my interest. The USA-Canada game had a lot of exciting moments, especially the finish. |

I've wanted to watch, but work has been really crazy. I've been relying on news updates from ESPN and the like to really know what's going on.

Couldn't believe DR had Taveras try to steal third, down 1 in the 9th with only 1 out. WHAT THE FUCK?
Hopefully, he didn't do that on his own. But I probably know better, and he's coming to the Reds this year. Christ.
