You just get a million dollars and looking for ideas? If that's the case I would give the money to the person running the next WW game which is about to start....

we wouldn't have to walk to the store - we'd take a limousine cuz it cost more

Split most of it into long-term, no or little risk investments like IRA's and savings accounts, keep some around to act as a buffer against bad times, and start looking for a job I enjoy without any worry about the pay.

Buy a few houses. One for my wife and I to live in and a few inexpensive ones we could fix up, rent then resell in a few years or whenever the market goes back up.

Not to be obtuse, but how does this relate to WW?

Pay off my mortgage, buy two new cars, keep a little and stick the rest into low risk bonds.

yeah, Lathum, I agree with BK. Worthy topic, but I don't want our WW group to be this little insular organization within teh greater FOFC community, you know?
And I would totally set aside all of the money for my post HD years and then donate the unused portion to charity after my death.

BK, Abe - if you guys didn't realize this was a question proposed in Office Space, which is why it relates perfectly to WW.

Wish I had seen this sooner. I can't believe it got this long without someone pointing out Lathum was making an obvious reference to the movie.
Man, you guys lost some serious culture cred with me (those of you who didn't catch on).

Must see it again this weekend. |

I didn't until you said something. I've seen the movie a couple times, but not in a while. I rarely watch movies multiple times and especially not several times.

Honestly, I'd say I've seen the movie well over 50 times.
I am not exaggerating. On my first ship, my shop was responsible for running the movies in our closed circuit television system. This movie, which I absolutely love until Peter argues with Joanna, and "Dirty Work" were probably our most requested movies while I was onboard that ship from July 1999 through September 2000. I'd say both of the Austin Powers movies came in right after those two.

As is quite obvious, I've only seen the movie once and can't say I fell in love with it then. Perhaps now that I've been working full-time (was in college at the time) I would find it funnier.
