I'm also quite sure that the hidden subplot to that commercial is that the air freshener was used specifically because Flo was coming over. Kind of a preventative measure to relieve all of them from being in an uncomfortable situation. I bet the other 3 ladies had a call about it the night before.

One other thing...I think part of my issue with Flo might be that she bears more than a passing resemblance to someone else we've seen in commercials, especially if you divide the unibrow:
