We'll see how it works a second or third time. Against Turner it worked the first game, but he found the chinks in my armor the next match and took me down.

Just lost to Fid 5-3. Had a much better game than last time. I am noticing a disturbing trend, maybe it is just me and this particular game i'm not sure but 4 of his 5 goals were high glove side, well placed shots but almost every shot he put there went in. I hope this is not the "magic bullet" that will allow you to score more often than not. Is it just me or have others noticed this? Good game Fid.

I'm not sure if high glove is a magic bullet, but it is the place I naturally shoot 99% of the time. I always play going 'up', and I just seem to always shoot high-right side. So while most of my goals go in there, it's possible it's because most of my shots are aimed there.

Yeah, that's probably true. Or maybe Roloson just has a hole in his glove.

I'm Code Baboon, and I'm glad I could avenge your defeats
I don't think I'll be online tonight, got some tickets to a play. Perhaps tomorrow.

Thanks, although I've had a lot of luck so far. Auld has been really good. I didn't realise he was the goalie until after the first game, and he was playing so well I've never bothered to check to see if Bryzgalov is even on the roster since the update. Turns out the tickets fell through so I'll be online a bit this evening if anyone wants to play.

Very good game! Biron was crazy good, just a wall back there. I suck at shootouts too, got really lucky with that goal. I often go a dozen or more rounds before I put one in (if ever).

Since I suck at offense...I try to just block as many shots as I can with my defensemen. Or at least give people bad angle shots.

Hey guys, sorry I've been offline. I was on vacation for a week and meant to post here to let everyone know, but forgot to before I left.
I will likely be on tomorrow night if anyone is up for a game or two.

The latest roster really fixes some things gameplay related. Just played against my neighbor, he was Pittsburgh, I was Buffalo and it was the greatest game
I think I've ever played in a console sports game against someone else... WOW! I don't know what EA does when they tweak the rosters, but the game is MUCH tighter defensively. I beat him 1-0 and I know that's out of the norm for those two teams, but that's what made it so great. The game was just a rare defensive game and nothing felt cheap. I love this game! I still haven't played since the rosters come out, been too busy on the Wii. I want to check it out soon though, and that sounds promising. This is definitely the best sports game ever created.
I guess our little FOFC league kind of died eh?

It's never too late to resurrect it, just in time for the NHL playoffs.

Never could bring myself to spend $60 on any hockey game, just don't have enough time to devote to another game, but always wanted to try it.
So, got the game last week with my first goozex trade and man is this fun. Found some sliders at OS and started my Bruins franchise. Yeah I'm 0-5 but my first game was a 3-2 loss and my last one I lost in 4 on 3 overtime, Chara was in the box to start OT and we gave up a powerplay goal. Biggest problem right now is controlling my defensemen. I tend to drift too much in my skating and I have a hard time staying between my guy and the goal or pushing them out of the slot, but I'm getting better. Even though I'm not particularly good at it, yet, I love the skating. It just feels so fluid and smooth. The whole flow of the game is great. It's amazing how quickly a game is played with 10 minute periods. Really leaves a guy with that "just one more game" feeling. |

Are you talking about 08 or 09?

yeah it's 08, the 360 version for the 60 fps. A year old but from the posts here I figured it would be a good\cheap way to try the game. It was 300 goozex points so give or take about a $15 value paid for by trading an old game I wouldn't be playing anymore.
