Sorry, I didn't read that it was for breakfast. Must have just skimmed your post. I don't think they have that at the McDonald's here though. I was in there for breakfast a couple of days ago and didn't see anything about it.

Steak n' Shake would be a close second for me, I think. The only one of those down here closed several years ago, so I've forgotten about them.

Correct. The founder is a Christian man who decided that he wanted his restaurant closed on Sunday to allow the workers to spend time with their families and to be able to go to church if they chose to.

I hate that they are closed on Sundays as well, but I applaud his stance and the fact that despite that stance his business has thrived.

After reading this thread yesterday, I had to have Chik-Fil-A for breakfast this morning...was going to have it for lunch also but I was too lazy to go out and get it, however I do think that tomorrow I'll treat myself to my favorite meal

I do too. I also respect the way they handle it. Their signage explains the policy without reference to religion and Truett Cathy the founder always said he did it as much for giving himself and his staff a break and a chance to rest as he did for religious reasons.

Clearly not being open on Sundays means a loss of revenue. It would be very easy to open up on Sunday, since it's not the upper management who would be working. Giving their employees a weekend day off like that is an impressive gesture in this day and age.

They put copius amounts of powdered sugar in the breading on their chicken, so the calorie count is astronomical. A once-a-month indulgence for me, nothing more.

Usually I don't add anything, but on the full size ones I will occasionally put a little bit of mayo on there. I've done the jelly thing too but it really doesn't add a whole lot except if you have a little biscuit left over at the end. On the minis I don't think I've ever added anything though.

I don't really do the condiment thing for Chik-Fil-A breakfasts either. Mayo on their lunch/dinner items. Never thought of jelly, have to try that next time I'm near one.

Actually I will occasionally do a mayo or ketchup with a sausage, egg, and cheese or bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. And if I do just egg and cheese, definitely mayo.

Almost always. Pretty much any sandwich with cheese on it is a candidate for mayo with me.

Speaking of condiments- anybody try the Honey Roasted BBQ sauce....I always pilfer a few packets of this every time we go to put on food at home. I would eat a shoe dipped in that stuff.....Fantastic!

I interviewed at Morehead State for a job last year and they had the perfect storm of fast food restaurants. KFC, Chick-Fil-A, Fazolis and Sonic. I have never seen all four in one place before. My eyes glazed over.

We found a store up here that carries Duke's mayo, so my wife could quit buying 3-4 large jars of it every time we came down to South Carolina.

Man... We used to have a Fazoli's near my apartment in Ohio and I lived off of that stuff. I hadn't seen one for quite awhile, but there was one in Myrtle Beach when we visited last Spring. Fast food pasta needs to catch on and spread.

Fazoli's went out of business here in Fayetteville, but while it was here, we had KFC, Chik-Fil-A, Fazoli's, and Sonic all within a few blocks of each other.

As I've said. Chik-Fil-A is MASSIVELY overrated. Good, yes, but not as good as the hype. And a bit overpriced compared to other fast food.

I'd pick Wendy's over Chik-Fil-A, personally.

This thread makes me want Chik-Fil-A. I will try to swing that for lunch.

I always get a standard sandwich with cheese and take the pickle off. I can't imagine getting something else there. Seems weird.

Sometimes the wife brings home chicken biscuits because they catered it at her work. They are okayish.

I used to make Fazoli's frozen meals in a factory. It actually turned out looking pretty damn good, especially the lasagna. I shoveled many tubs of the cheese that went into it.

Damn I'm glad I have a desk job now. Although my future wife did like what all that work did for my body.
