Pumpkins
My girlfriend and I finally put our pumpkin out tonight. She drew the face and then I carved it. It turned out great - probably the best pumpkin we have done. Does anyone else really get into this stuff?

Nice!
I try to get my wife to do it but she isn't interested. Plus we live in a condo and have no where to put it. |

My wife isn't interested in that at all. However, she does like doing other decorations for Halloween. Very nice job with that pumpkin.

Pretty cool.
Would anyone ever buy pumpkins, if not for Halloween? |

Maybe we should fly to NO, you and I can carve pumpkins and watch college football while enjoying an adult beverage and our wives can prepare and serve food to us. Last edited by Lathum : 10-25-2009 at 09:56 PM. |

I went to a pumpkin carving party. And carved my first one. Skull and crossbones now hanging out in front of the house.

But - it's only the 26th. Isn't that pumpkin going to look like Bea Arthur by Halloween?

I wish the seeds lasted a month. We put them on the counter and every time I walk by I shovel a few in the mouth so, we only get a few weeks out of them. Although, made some garlic herb ones last year that I didn't care for. Going to try some Old Bay ones this year and see how those turn out.

Hmmm...I have to do this sometime this week but I've got very young children who likely won't sleep well if I make a "typical" scary pumpkin.
Thoughts for any cool, kid-friendly designs?? |

Don't most people use canned pumpkin filling for that?

Maybe something like this? Doesn't look too scary but doesn't look terribly friendly either. Last edited by Ironhead : 10-26-2009 at 07:24 PM. |
