NFL Week 16 Flex Schedule - WTF?
So what's the deal with leaving the match-up as Cowboys vs. Redskins? I understand that the Cowboys are a big draw, big rivalry, Cowboys fighting for a playoff spot, etc., but did anyone see the first game that they played this year?
CBS has a boatload of better games that day. Denver vs. Philadelphia, Indianapolis vs. New York Jets and New England vs. Jacksonville all offer up at least two teams competing for a playoff spot. Personally, I would even prefer to watch the Ravens vs. Steelers rematch, although I can understand not going with that twice on Sunday night. Heck, Miami vs. Houston offers more intrigue than the Cowboys-Redskins game. My guess would be that CBS would veto the Broncos-Eagles game. Even if NBC fears that Indy will dog it, that still leaves a big TV draw team in New England taking on Jacksonville, in a game that could have big playoff implications for both teams. Instead we get the Redskins in a premier prime time game two weeks in a row. Now, they've been playing better lately and have been a part of some decent games but I want two playoff calibre teams this time of year. This doesn't even count having to sit through Carolina this Sunday night. |

Don't think any other matchup is better from a ratings perspective.

Unless the game is an absolute stinker, and this one isn't, it really isn't fair to move the game around. People build weekends and flights around the games. Moving a game pisses off the fans and isn't a good buisiness practice.
