A stuffed Portuguese water dog from Build-A-Bear in a New Jersey Devils uniform - So now I have two Build-A-Bear pups in Devils gear. The puppies can now team up and kick the asses of my wife's bear and unicorn in Penguins gear. See, this is why we don't have kids.
A memory card that I had put on my Amazon wish list - Of course, I was a dumbass and requested the wrong kind of memory card by accident. So I have a memory card that I can't find a reason to use right now. It was nice of my dad to order it for me, though. A Visa gift card A Best Buy gift card Cash A trip to Las Vegas in January I could have gotten a new bowling ball bag instead of the Best Buy gift card, but I couldn't decide on the bag I wanted, so my wife gave me the gift card instead.

Let's see...
My fall semester (first semester) of grad school was paid for by my dad. Huge gift. My gf and I are light on funds, but I managed to combine Christmas/V-Day/my 30th BDay in one...got tickets to Howie Day in NYC (very small, intimate setting...our seats are directly in front of him), and then tickets to Lion King on Broadway for the next night (4th row center). I got myself the Motorola Droid and the Ken Burns Baseball DVD set with the BN cards I got (cost me $20 after those). So I'm happy. I want to get the Kindle/Nook, but I'm going to wait for CES2010 and see what Apple's doing with their alleged tablet, first. |

I got a lot of small items, my folks spoiled me (and my sister) this year, but the best things by far were cooking supplies:
3 qt. All-Clad saute pan (with lid) Le Cruset ramekin-type things for making a variety of dishes individually-sized (and accompanying cookbook for inspiration) Biscotti pan (and accompanying cookbook) pie traveler (a thing to put pies in so you can transport them) I'm probably using the saute pan tomorrow. /tk

I had the BB Storm. I liked it, but the Droid is much more useful in many aspects. It's more powerful, better browser (by far), is faster, better call quality, and just...it's a better phone. |
