To position switch or not to position switch: that is the question.
So I spent the first 6.3 offseason in the WOOF building the team to run a 2-TE offense. Despite already having Marcus Bennett, I went out and signed Carlos McMeel and Danny Bell. I only had one good WR in Will Barnes to begin with, and didn't have the cap room or draft ammo to acquire another one.
However, I did have the ammo to trade up to #5 and draft a stud RB: Conscriptor Info: WOOF Front Office Football Conscriptor version 1.28.5 Player Card Info: http://www.younglifenorthdekalb.com/...playerid=14117 At the time, the plan was to use him at RB. I cut my overpaid starter, signed a mentor, and prepared for the LaBrosse era to begin. However, we just hit the pre-TC stage and I'm rethinking it. Here are the obvious pros and cons. PRO-SWITCH
WOOF: Lowcountry Gators Roster (NOTE: Barring unforeseen circumstances arising, I'm about 99.9% sure what I'm going to do anyway, so WOOF members, you wouldn't be "helping" me if you participate in this discussion. I just brought it up here because I think it's an interesting decision.)

I would keep him at RB.
If you truely plan on running the 2TE offense, there is only 1 formation that uses 2 WR's. So, unless you plan on trading Barnes, I would keep LaBrosse at RB. And then move put him in the receiving slots when you can.

In all seriousness, though, if it were me (and I liked LaBosse a lot and was trying to trade up to get him), I would keep him at RB because of my short-pass offense.
Through playing some (although not much) of 6.3 in SP, I get the feeling that one of the more significant changes in the engine is that short passes are much more effective because of increased YAC. So, having a tailback that can convert 4-yard catches (with a high success rate) into 8-yard gains has great value to me. |

On the other hand, if my one stud WR was getting older, it might make much more sense to position switch.

Absolutely. That's part of what makes this (I think) an interesting decision.

Trade him to Wilkes-Barre and we'll send you a WR.

Personally I would change his position and his nickname to: Roger "Top of the line wine" LaBrosse

Did not switch, but did weight train down to 208. The plan is to play him at RB until Barnes retires, then switch him to WR whenever that happens.

Any regrets about your decision? I'm facing the same one with Billy Ray Chapman in IHOF....... In my case, I have servicable Running Backs, but no wideouts worth mentioning.....
fof-IHOF.com : Player >> Billy Chapman Switch or don't switch? Retains 93% of his ratings with a switch to flanker.. Drafted 1-2, and rated 60/71 as a RB....... |

Was looking for something else and ran into this thread.
I think Ben is probably happy with his decision.

noticed you never moved him to WR Ben, would you advise that for an aging RB, also i noticed yoda said to put him in the WR slot in plays instead of trying to get him invloved from the backfield, did/do you find this an effective stratagy?
