Hartford finishes up its season with 2 games vs Chico, while the Rebels play one additional series with Hammersmith once done with the Harpooners.

Chico has to sweep Hammersmith to force a playoff with Hartford now. One Hooligans win and Hartford returns to the playoffs for the first time in 13 seasons!

Much to the delight of probably everyone in the league, Chico is eliminated from the postseason and Hartford clinches a playoff spot!

Yeah! Screw you, Chico.

Congratulations, Dan. It's been a rough drought but the good times are back!

Good luck to the other playoff teams. Looking forward to the festivities!

Aitken finishes the year 4th all time for wins. Will he retire after the playoffs or could next year see him jump up to 2nd all time on the list? Could we possibly have a pitcher do what once was thought impossible and catch Sierra?

After the first month i was the second worst record in the league at 8-18. Nice run there to make the playoffs.

Tough choice here. I made the call to stick with Quero until he was 45 (what was I thinking) and it put me into a long playoff dry-spell. After that experience, and looking at what Aitken wants to get paid, he's probably going to finish his career elsewhere.

If I didn't have a chance to win this thing again next year I might keep him, but with a key player in AAA coming up to help out the offense and a sufficient FA pickup to replace Aitken I might be able to be back on top next season.
