Wattage on the 80GB PS3?
Maybe MBBF knows this one. I have the 80GB "fat" PS3 that came out in the 3rd Q of last year. The place I'm living now has very shoddy electricity and we lose power about once or twice a week. I'm going to invest in a Battery Backup but I need to know how much wattage the PS3 uses under heavy load. I read 90-120 on Wikipedia for the one I have, but that doesn't say under heavy load...I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Anybody know for sure?

This page has some info about the PS3 power consumption
PlayStation 3 hardware - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It looks like your PS3 has a 380w power supply, but only consumes between 90-120w in normal use. |
