1930 FOOL-H Thread

File for the start of FA is online now. I'm trying to get the HTML loaded updated too, but that takes forever and the machine doesn't always cooperate, but I should have that problem solved here before too long.

Does anyone in this league plan to get OOTP 11 not including the beta folks obviously? If not, it's fine. I just figured maybe we could be the first league to go to 11. If not, I'll probably try to start a FLOP-style league that uses it, because it's usually a nice way to inject new people into the ecosystem when you're one of the first to switch like FOOL was when it first started.

Just an update.

I am not getting 11. I'm fine with dropping out so the league can switch to 11, but as the other thread here indicates, some would like FOOL-X to switch (FOOL-XI?). If FOOL-H and FOOL-X both go, I could jump back into FOOL as the "version behind" league or something.

We wouldn't do it unless the whole league wanted to. The league is fine how it is, it was more a query and not any sort of implied legislative fiat. So no, you can't go. Sorry.

Messages have been screwed up for me for a while. Given DC's issues, I'm counting my blessings we have a file at all.

The messages problem must've happened at some point when the game decided to reset itself to the default settings. I've gone and fixed it and you should see messages and box scores and game logs (but no replays, of course) in the file as normal starting with this file.

Hah I suck at historical leagues. My 2nd playoff appearence ever LOL. Interesting note from the Cubs this season, 1B Jimmie Foxx has hit his 257th HR this season. Why is that interesting you ask......

Interesting, he's 7 ahead of Ruth at that point if my math is correct.

Ruth is finally slowing down. At age 35 he only hit 28, and ended the season with 810 for his career.

The Giants will add 2 numbers to their wall of fame this year. Cy Williams retires after 18 seasons and enters the hall of fame. Cy peaked with 171 rbi's for the famed 1914 NY Giants, and had 11, 100 rbi season's in a row.

Overshadowing Williams is the retirement of arguably the greatest Fool-H player we will ever see(ruth/cobb?) Ty Cobb played 25 seasons with the Giants. A 5 time fall classic winner, and a 15 time all-star, Cobb wrote the record book. 4199 games, 3371 runs, 2579 rbi's, a .377 career average, and the most untouchable record in sports....6829 hits. If Shoeless Joe plays another 3 season's, the record is in jeopardy, but that's not gonna happen.

I don't really know what's going on with the crashing, but...it should be fine as it uploaded with no errors. You might want to load the game first, then load FOOL-H and then try to download the file. I dunno what it could be though.

Young Drachma Dark Cloud Join Date: Apr 2001	I don't really know what's going on with the crashing, but...it should be fine as it uploaded with no errors. You might want to load the game first, then load FOOL-H and then try to download the file. I dunno what it could be though.
