Dual Monitor Computer Question

So I'm running a dual-monitor setup with my Sony laptop. The graphics card has an HDMI out, and I'm running a cable to a separate monitor. I run video games in windowed mode maximized on the second monitor, and I use the laptop screen to run Firefox, etc.

My problem lies in that oftentimes I'll be in game on the second monitor, and I'll right click - but instead of performing the right-click function for the game, it will pop up a windows menu (as if I had right-clicked on the desktop) right in the middle of my game, interrupting it (and usually screwing up whatever it was I had been doing). I've searched for the problem online but am coming up with nothing.

My first thought was that something on the laptop screen running in the background had popped up as active, therefore making the mouse think that a right click should pop up the menu, but I can't seem to find anything that would lead me to believe that is the case. Any help would be appreciated!

I have also that problem sometimes or also when i move the mouse to the side of the games and it goes to the second monitor instead of keeping inside the game.

Try Displayfusion or Ultramon, i think i have read that one of those have options to fix those issues but had no time to test it myself.

Interesting - I might think about doing that - dual monitor to a laptop.

My guess is that your cursor has simply crept over onto the laptop monitor.

I've notice that happen, but it oftentimes also happens right in the middle of the second monitor. It's pretty easy to know whether or not I've done it, as the menu pops up at the mouse location.
