Recommendations for inexpensive but quality Florida LLC creator

So we have to create a secondary company to serve as a referral brokerage. This company can be a simple LLC but after the bargain online Logo creator debacle we are looking for some recommendations before doing anything. One of the partners wants to simply rely on lawyers for this stuff and I get it, but the cost seems high for a bootstrapped start and a really simple LLC setup. Something like MyCorporation.com?

thanks in advance and btw here is the logo we went with:

IIRC, all of our LLC advice came from our accountant who pointed us through the process. Fair warning though, our CPA is someone we've known forever & who had extensive ad agency experience so he was a world of help to us in a lot of ways just by understanding the ins & outs of what we do.

I wonder ... is there a real estate attorney that might be able to handle this sort of thing but that you have a good relationship with? (and might at least be a bit less of Dewey, Screwum, and Howe about help).

unfortunately I dont think so and the lawyer that the partner wants to use has a very long and extensive relationship with them (him and his family re: a lot of things uninvolved with this co.) so it seems that theyre very thorough and they do a good job for them but it seems that they also cost more than I think it should for a fairly common LLC creation. Im thinking 4-500 and theyre talking 1K+.

If you have more than one member of the LLC, I highly recommend talking to a lawyer, if for nothing else than to discuss the termination, right of exit, etc. provisions.

You're surprised by that? In some ways it isn't much different than building a house

I guess so but Im anxious to get it rollin' and things are just going 'too' slow, eventhough its probably right on track. The costs are generally a lot of one offs and you talk about them in pieces but when they all start hitting it's an eye opener.

I've done a few very simple, single individual Florida LLC start-ups for around $500, but something a bit more complicated with multiple unrelated partners...I don't think $1,000-$1,500 is unreasonable for a thorough job.

This isn't an offer, just so we're clear...

Lawyer, and preferably get your own (and pay out of pocket) while having the partner pay out of pocket for his own guy.

This. Find a lawyer that's the company's lawyer, not the personal attorney for any of the partners.

Legalzoom.com works fine for boilerplate if you want to do something single member, but beyond that and it's worth the up-front cash to do get it done right the first time.

When we launched Associates Interactive here in Buffalo, we had a corporate attorney draw up all the paper work and then we had our personal lawyers look through everything and make provisions and such as needed...it was rewrote several times...I think the total bill hit 6K..

We went with a lawyer friend who is doing it for under $500 and a relationship for closings...

Anybody have any ideas for the following.

Our main site will be RoundTableRealty.com however we also own about 60 other URL's for specific areas: RealtyofJacksonville being one.

We want to use these other URL's to build traffic for the main site but we also are shoestring and looking at cost effectiveness. What is the best way to harness the branding of these other URL's that have more geographic names for the main site? Build content (expense)? Forward (bad SEO juice)?

Thanks in advance...

As long as you didn't pay anyone to design that logo, you are ahead of the game.

im hoping itll also look good on the yard sign. the business cards, both front and back, are pretty sweet. I think we may have actually fallen into a pretty sweet logo all things considered.
