According to this, Chicago's over their cap by 3.1 million *now* because of 4 million worth of bonuses to Kane and Toews. Chicago sportswriters should have voted for Keith.

Bet it's still worth it, though.

The Hawks will have a lower cap number next season somewhere around $4 million less than the rest of the league. It will be interesting to see how they overcome this and remain competitive as a lot of their depth will be gone...
