ASU's side of the bracket has not other national seeds, but it does have the #10 and #13 ranked teams in OU & TCU.

And those are the two teams who just took out the other two consensus top teams in college this year(most everyone thought all year long UT, UVA, and ASU were the top teams)

You know, I just have to share this particular gem of stupidity. On the main Arkansas message board, a lot of the moderators are as dumb as a sack of hammers, and I have a hard time holding my tongue about it. I have been permanently banned there twice because of that, actually. Not too hard to just make a new account, so I'm still there on my third account.
Anyway, of course some stupid idiots are disappointed in our baseball team and coach for not going on the road and beating the number one team in the country. Naturally. Fine, there are people like that on every board. I'm sure there are people like this guy on every board, too, but the mind just boggles at this statement. And I'd rather comment here than start all over on a fourth account there, so here is the statement in all its mind-numbing glory. From a board moderator, no less: "What is disappointing is that you shouldn't lose back to back 12 inning games if you are a great head coach." I...I just...I'm seriously looking for weapons right now. God. |

MJ4H,
sorry to hear that. (from memory) You could also add ASU was 34-0 (or so) vs non-conference foes at home this year. 35-4 when they hit a HR, and something similar when leading after 8 innings. To suggest the team failed is BS. The "system" failed in not seeding 1-16 and trying to keep "travel to minimum" that "system" sucks in college baseball and I've seen it screw many team far too many times out here on the West Coast. |

Geez, if Izzo's involved with baseball, that explains why Michigan State is bad even for the Big Ten.

rain delay on day 2 after some big hitting by two clubs on day 1 (congrats TCU & UCLA).
Should have game #3 under way in about 45 mins now...we'll see if ASU and Clemson gets off today or not. |

Let's go Tigers!
4 run lead in college baseball is nothing, though.

Clemson took it to the Devils today. Their pitcher was totally on his game.

Good to see FSU knock out Florida. Though I'm no fan of either Clemson or FSU, I want one of them to win this whole thing so that the ACC can get the College World Series Fail Monkey off its back for once.

pull for FSU then dont think Clemson has much of a chance.... that said, even though the runner was called safe (correctly) did anyone else see the throw KP made on the tag up in the I think 4th inning....wow. No wonder we will be starting another Frosh next year at QB.... |

I tuned into watch the last of the TCU-FSU game. I was really going to watch World Cup Prime time, but whatever. My point is why the hell do they keep showing that little kid? I know he is the coaches so, but it just got annoying. Show the girl next door bat girls. That is what I want to see.

UCLA moves into the CWS! TCU pulled their starter out before they recorded an out!

South Carolina wins the National Championship in two games, with a 2-1 win in extra innings over UCLA.
Glad to see SC, which has some very loyal fans, finally win a championship in something. Last edited by Tigercat : 06-30-2010 at 12:03 AM. |

well I don't know whether to be happy for South Carolina for winning it all, or pissed off because Coastal Carolina could have won their series together and be celebrating a national title right now.
