Don Coryell RIP
I may have missed it but am surprised no one posted this. Don Coryell one of the NFLs most underrated coaches passed away on Thurseday. I remember growing and really enjoying Air Coryell. Though they could not play a lick of defense they had the most potent offense I have seen ever except the Pats offense from 2-3 years back. He really did change the NFL in alot of ways.

A pioneer that should have been in the HOF years ago.
Air Coryell will live forever.

Air Coryell was one of my early NFL favorite teams. Their offense was impressive, especially considering that most teams didn't pass a ton at the time. He was a great coach.

The Greatest Show on Turf offense was based upon his style.

RIP Don. He spent his college years as a DB at Washington, and there had been some speculation he might replace Jim Owens as coach in the late '60's/early '70's before Owens got things turned around with Sonny Sixkiller, and Coryell ended up getting the head coaching gig with the St. Louis Cardinals after his dominating run at San Diego State.
