Did it wake you up, or were you already awake at 4:22 in the morning?

4.4, about 2 miles Pico, according to one site I found, around 4:07 a.m. local.
I had just gotten back into bed from a trip to the bathroom. Very short, with a sharp jolt. I probably would have just slept through it if I hadn't been coincidentally up.

Maybe you should get that checked out, I don't think a sharp jolt is normal. And if you would've slept through it, your bed would probably be wet right now. |

The only reason we woke up was our 2 cats went absolutely insane. A lot of people I've talked to say it felt a lot bigger than a 4.4. I'm really glad that I'm working in a building that is not up to earthquake code this morning, that's for sure.

I'd rather deal with an earthquake than hurricanes, thanks.

Heh... as soon as I read my post from this morning a moment ago, I had a feeling I would have a response like this.

Not sure why you chose that as your rebuttal but at least you can prepare for a hurricane.

exactly. as long as nothing is damaged, they are literally nothing. rain is more annoying. an earthquake is 7 seconds of your life, then everything is the same as it was 8 seconds ago i will regret posting that when an 8.0 earthquake hits here, though. |

We felt very small "tremors" at my house west of Phoenix a couple of hours ago.....lasted like 8-10 seconds and barely able to feel it....Thought I was imagining it for a minute.

Today's quake was fairly big at our place, we all felt it. But fortunately we are 300 miles from the epicenter.

Never felt it, but I think I was on the freeway at the time.

Yeah, that was my first earthquake experienced from the top of an office building. That was different. A really major one in a high rise must be quite an experience.

My office decided to evacuate us. Considering I work in a windowless room and I was put next to a giant glass door im not sure that was a good idea.
