Computer question - Being redirected to strange websites
OK, I have an annoying, possibly security risk issue with my home PC. I am running AVG as my virus software and it has been great. But, in the last week I must have downloaded something that will often redirect my web browser (mostly to google analytics) when going to another page. AVG has blocked a few redirects as potentially unsafe and when it doesn't I just close the window and it goes away.
Anyone else encounter this and any suggestions on dealing with it? AVG is finding no virus and Adaware hasn't gotten rid of it either. |

sounds like spyware, have you tried running Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware?
link here: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware: Malwarebytes try that and spybot S&D. if that doesnt do it, it could possibly be a weird situation with the Hosts file.

Also check out Hitman Pro 3.5. Lately that has been finding stuff that other programs have been missing.
